Henley Royal Regatta"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"love\"><input  id=\"post_3928\" type=\"checkbox\" class=\"LoveCheck\"\/>\n                <label for=\"post_3928\" class=\"dashicons dashicons-heart LoveLabel\" aria-label=\"like this\"><\/label><span class=\"LoveCount\">0<\/span><\/div><!--\/love--><p>Nach langer Planung und Vorbereitung begaben wir,\u00a0Reiner Sadleder, Christian K\u00f6ssl (RGM M\u00fcnchen) und ich, auf die Reise nach London &#8211; Henley, zur 175. Auflage dieser schon fast Sagen umwobenen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hrr.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Royal Henley Regatta<\/a>. \u00a0Bei unserer\u00a0Vorbereitung f\u00fcr diese Reise d\u00fcrfen\u00a0keinesfalls unerw\u00e4hnt bleiben, Ruderkollege <strong>Hermann Bauer<\/strong> von Wiking Linz, er besorgte uns die Eintrittskarten in die Regatta Eclosure f\u00fcr die Finaltage sowie <strong>Elfriede Stumptner<\/strong> die im Trikotlager noch zwei Embleme f\u00fcr unsere Sakkos fand.<\/p>\n<p>Wer hier glaubt schon einmal eine gro\u00dfe Regatta gesehen zu haben, wird eines besseren belehrt. \u00a0Unwahrscheinliche 100.000 Besucher pro Tag s\u00e4umten die 1 Meile 550 Yard (2112 Meter) lange Strecke.<\/p>\n<p>Ein Dresscode gebietet das Tragen von Anzug oder Sakko mit Krawatte f\u00fcr M\u00e4nner und Kleid oder Rock, welche \u00fcber das Knie reichen m\u00fcssen, f\u00fcr Frauen.\u00a0 Bis vor kurzem war auch noch ein Hut f\u00fcr Damen vorgeschrieben.\u00a0 Weiters ist das\u00a0Mitnehmen eines Rucksackes nicht erlaubt und\u00a0 dazu kommt noch ein generelles Verbot des Telefonierens mit dem Mobiltelefon.\u00a0 Eigene Stewards (Aufpasser) wachen \u00fcber die Einhaltung dieser Vorgaben.<\/p>\n<p>Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Vereinsblazer der verschiedenen Universit\u00e4tsclubs, welche mit Stolz von den Ruderern, ob Teilnehmer oder Zuschauer, getragen werden.<\/p>\n<p>An f\u00fcnf Tagen werden die verschiedenen Rennen (Cups) ausgetragen. \u00a0 Da es nur zwei Bahnen gibt, finden die L\u00e4ufe bis zum Finale im K.O. System statt.\u00a0 Man f\u00e4hrt gegen den Strom auf zwei Bahnen ohne Bojen\u00a0mit einer festen \u00e4u\u00dferen Holzbegrenzung! \u00a0In ca. 5 Meter Entfernung zum Ufer kommen die Boote an den Zuschauern vorbei, welche lautstark anfeuern.<\/p>\n<p>An der Stromseite machen Boote an der Holzbegrenzung fest und feuern auch von dieser Seite aus an. \u00a0Durch eine Schiebetafelsystem ist man \u00fcber den Rennverlauf stehts informiert.\u00a0\u00a0Der Abstand der Schiebetafeln signalisiert\u00a0die Bootsabst\u00e4nde auf der Strecke.\u00a0 Weiters sind feste\u00a0Posten je viertel Meile instaliert die beim passieren des Rennens\u00a0das f\u00fchrende Boot durch\u00a0Signaltafeln\u00a0anzeigen.<\/p>\n<p>In diesem Jahr herrschte noch dazu steifer Wind gegen die Fahrtrichtung.\u00a0 Diese 3 Komponenten, Wind, Gegenstr\u00f6mung und l\u00e4ngere Strecke brachten manche Crew an ihre Limits und sorgte nat\u00fcrlich auch f\u00fcr \u00fcberraschende Ergebnisse bei den L\u00e4ufen.\u00a0 In 20 Bewerben wurden Siegespokale vergeben.\u00a0 In den Einern konnten sich die Favoriten Drysdale (NZL) \u00a0und Knapkova (CZE) sicher durchsetzen.\u00a0 Im Thames Challenge Cup f\u00fcr Club Achter kam es \u00fcberraschend zu einem Sieg durch die Frankfurter Rudergesellschaft Germania von 1869.\u00a0 Sie kamen\u00a0\u00fcber ein hart erk\u00e4mpftes Semifinale weiter und konnten sich im Finale bei einem Bord an Bord Kampf \u00fcber die gesamte Strecke letztendlich durchsetzen.<\/p>\n<p>Aber auch abseits der Rennen ist die Regatta gegenw\u00e4rtig.\u00a0 Im kleinen Ort Henley konzentriert sich alles auf diese Regatta.\u00a0 Pubs und Restaurants haben ihre Kapazit\u00e4ten erh\u00f6ht und bieten zus\u00e4tzliche Veranstaltungen (Life Musik, &#8230;) an.\u00a0 Ein riesige Partymeile und ein gro\u00dfes Feuerwerk in der Nacht vor den Finall\u00e4ufen bilden den Abschluss der Feiern.<\/p>\n<p>Da unser R\u00fcckflug nach M\u00fcnchen erst zwei Tage nach dem Finale gebucht war, blieb noch Zeit zu einem Besuch des River &amp; Rowing Museum, welches die Geschichte des Rudern in England darstellt und einige interessante Objekte vorweisen kann. \u00a0Anschlie\u00dfend besuchten wir noch die Universit\u00e4tsstadt Oxford, die Ruderolympiastrecke in Eton sowie das k\u00f6nigliche Schloss Windsor.<\/p>\n<p>R\u00fcckblickend, eine Veranstaltung
