Mai 2014 fand die 82. Klagenfurter Regatta am W\u00f6rthersee statt. \u00a0Head CoachPhil Stekl und Junioren A Trainer Wilfried Auerbach gemeinsam mit Daniel Mat\u00e9 bereiteten das Team gut auf diesen internationalen Wettkampf vor.<\/p>\n<p>Bereits am Samstag gab es bei den Vorl\u00e4ufen einige \u00dcberraschungen.<\/p>\n<p>Philumena Bauer in\u00a0Renngemeinschaft mit Steyr trat im Juniorinnen A 2x an. \u00a0Hier reduziert sich das Feld auf leider nur mehr einen Lauf. \u00a0Der dritte Platz am Vorlauftag sowie der 2. Platz im reduzierten Feld am Finaltag war trotzdem eine starke Leistung.<\/p>\n<p>Der\u00a0Sch\u00fclerinnen 2x mit Tina Ackerlauer und Katja Brabec konnten sich mit einem Vorlaufsieg ins A Finale k\u00e4mpfen. \u00a0Dort wurde der undankbare 4 Platz &#8211; 4 Boote in 4 Sekunden &#8211; erreicht.<\/p>\n<p>Der Junioren B 4x, Julian Brabec, Paul Heindl, Arnold Ackerlauer, Gabriel Stekl fuhren mit einem 2. Platz im Vorlauf souver\u00e4n ins Finale, um dort mit umgesetzter Mannschaft Julian Brabec, Paul Heindl,\u00a0Lukas Heindler, Gabriel Stekl\u00a0in einem Fotofinish die Goldmedaille zu erobern.<\/p>\n<p>Der neu gebildete Juniorinnen B 2x, Nela Hudackove (BORG) und Martina Gumpesberger, schafften den Einzug ins A Finale und beendeten dieses ebenfalls auf dem undankbaren 4. Platz.<\/p>\n<p>Birgit P\u00fchringer mit Lisa Farthofer waren wieder einmal im Zweikampf mit Berger\/Borzacchini, der diesmal an Zweitere ging. \u00a0Das Rennen bildete jedoch die Vorbereitung zur Europameisterschaft in Belgrad.<\/p>\n<p>Kim Sendlhofer startete \u00a0Juniorinnen A 4x\u00a0in Renngemeinschaft mit Ottensheim. \u00a0Im A Finale konnte so der 3. Platz errudert werden.<\/p>\n<p>Der Junioren A 2x mit J\u00f6rg Auerbach und J\u00fcrgen Kraxberger konnte nach einem 2. Platz im Vorlauf ebenfalls das Finale am 3. Platz beenden.<\/p>\n<p>Der Sch\u00fcler 2x, Seyringer Paul und Adrian Reininger, landete nach\u00a0F\u00fchrung im\u00a0Vorlauf mit einem schweren &#8222;KREBS&#8220; leider im Finale B. \u00a0Dieses wurde jedoch souver\u00e4n\u00a0\u00a0gewonnen.<\/p>\n<p>Nela Hudackova startete zus\u00e4tzlich\u00a0im Juniorinnen 4x in Renngemeinschaft mit Ottensheim und Wels. Nach einem 2. Rang im Vorlauf kam es\u00a0im Finale A erneut zur Blechernen Medaille.<\/p>\n<p>Der Sch\u00fcler 4x, Adrian Reininger, Paul Seyringer, Florian Blasl, Paul Knausinger, lies mit einem 2. Platz im Vorlauf aufhorchen. \u00a0Leider konnte das Team im Finale diese Leistung bei bereits einsetzendem starkem Wind nicht mehr wiederholen und landete auf Platz 5.<\/p>\n<p>Beim abschlie\u00dfenden Junioren B Achter ging ein f\u00fcnf Mann starkes Team, \u00a0Julian Brabec, Paul Heindl, Arnold Ackerlauer, Benjamin Hefner, Gabriel Stekl, in Renngemeinschaft mit Wiking Linz an den Start. Der dritte Platz im Vorlauf reichte f\u00fcr den Aufstieg ins Finale A. \u00a0Dort ging es dann trotz Wind zur Sache. \u00a0Im Herzschlagfinale musste man mit\u00a00,2 Sekunden R\u00fcckstand leider den 3. Platz einnehmen.<\/p>\n<p>Hier geht es zu den <a title=\"Ergebnisse 2014\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ister.at\/?page_id=666\">Ergebnislisten<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>Der Head Coach schrieb seine Gedanken f\u00fcr sein Team auf Facebook nieder:<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #141823;\">This last weekend in Klagenfurt was so rewarding, so full of special moments, beautiful rowing and hard hard racing that it was difficult to clear my mind last night to find sleep.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #141823;\">What a terrific, professional job you did: from working together to get the boats rigged and de-rigged, to being on time with early wake-ups and warming up and racing like professionals. All of you. I am proud to be your trainer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #141823;\">Two weeks ago I told you that I considered Klagenfurt to be the mos<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">t competitive regatta we would likely participate in this season. More competitive, in all likelihood, than the Austrian Championships in September. I asked you to step up the training intensity to prepare for Klagenfurt, knowing the sacrifice it would entail, given how challenging school is this time of year. And you did just that, you really stepped it up.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\" style=\"color: #141823;\">\n<p>Was it worth it? The results speak for themselves&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Including combo line ups, a berth in the A finals was earned in 8 of the ten events Ister Juniors participated in last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Katja &amp; Tina won their Vorlauf, and a medal, in the SchW 2x.<\/p>\n<p>Paul &amp; Adrian won the B final, and a medal, in the SchM 2x. These two young men really put it together in the B final, with a time that was only half a second from the 3rd place finisher in the A final.<\/p>\n<p>We had a number of dramatic fourth-place finishers: Katja &amp; Tina, Martina &amp; Nela, Nela in her combo 4x, and Kim in hers. Perhaps the most inspirational race I saw this weekend was the SchW 2x final with Katja &amp; Tina. These two raced bravely with gold as the goal, not accepting an underdog status, and simply ran out of gas. They gave 150%. Not everyone can do that. All of these 4th place finishers are medal winners in my book.<\/p>\n<p>J\u00f6rg &amp; J\u00fcrgen raced very well to win the bronze medal in the JMA 2x.<\/p>\n<p>The Ister\/Wiking combo 8+ won bronze in the JMB 8+ event, only a fraction of a second from second place.<\/p>\n<p>Our JMB 4x &#8211; Julian, Paul H, Lukas\/Arnold, Gabriel &#8211; won the gold medal against a tough Slovenian crew, with an impressive display of persistence &amp; composure. My sweet lord, what a race that was.<\/p>\n<p>Beautifully done, all of you.
