Juli 2017 fand die Traunsee Regatta in Gmunden statt. Dabei wurden die Jugendregatta und die \u00f6sterr. Masters Meisterschaft 2017 ausgerichtet.<\/p>\n<p>Mit dabei waren einige Ister Boote und konnten sich im hochkar\u00e4tigen Feld gut behaupten. Gepr\u00e4gt war die Regatta von stark wechselnden Wetterbedingungen und einer zweimaligen Unterbrechung aufgrund von Sturmwarnungen. Nach einem guten Start und bis ca. 500m noch im Spitzenfeld gelegen, f\u00fcllten Wellen das Boot voll und machten so einen vorderen Platz unm\u00f6glich, und es kam nur der undankbare 4. Schwierigkeiten mit den Wellen f\u00fchrten im Laufe des Rennens jedoch zu einem leichten R\u00fcckstand. Sie lagen nach dem Start gleichauf in F\u00fchrung und konnten diese nach einem Crash von zwei anderen Booten weiter ausbauen. Schwierige Bedingungen mit starken Wellen forderten das Team und ein technischer Defekt bremste zus\u00e4tzlich. Obwohl sie in dieser Besetzung noch nie gemeinsam gerudert waren, erwischte unser Achter einen sehr guten Start und konnte sich mit zwei anderen Booten schnell vom restlichen Feld absetzen. Ein Steuerfehler einer der anderen Achter verursachte einen Crash, in dem auch unsere Crew verwickelt war. Das Rennen wurde abgebrochen und neu gestartet.
